I heard one of those tiktok “gurus” offer this thought:

“If you want to be successful, productize yourself.”

He went on to say: figure out what you naturally do that the world might want, that you can scale up and turn into a product… the more you can do that comes naturally, the less competition you have.

This is an interesting framework. Here’s how I might coach someone thorugh that process using myself as the client:

🔍 What We Know So Far (Baseline Inputs)

From previous convos and your latest message, here’s your current advantage stack:

Core Skills & Strengths

  • Deep experience in performance coaching & consulting (corporate + athletic)
  • NCAA athlete + assistant university coach
  • Law degree + former professor + high-level strategist
  • Skilled in DEI, conflict resolution, internal culture, and high-stakes communication
  • Creative in writing, design, and content ideation
  • Comfortable on camera and behind the scenes (e.g., TikTok strategy, UGC)
  • Physically strong and resilient, even if not in “endurance athlete” mode
  • Events producer experience with corporate, entertainment, and nonprofit sectors

New Info

  • Edits videos (you’re creative and self-sufficient — gold for digital products)
  • Battles depression (this adds depth, relatability, and authenticity)
  • A total stereotype buster (you disrupt expectations just by showing up)
  • Hilarious (which is your form of social currency)
  • Resilient (a brandable trait — think “unpolished endurance”)

🧠 Before We Build: Here’s What Else I’d Want to Know

These are the kind of questions I’d ask you or someone like you before fully building the “productized self” roadmap:

  1. Who do you naturally attract or help without trying?
    • Friends, coworkers, internet strangers — what do they always ask you for help with?
  2. What’s your default mode of expression?
    • Talking? Writing? Video? Teaching? Making memes?
  3. What kind of results have people gotten from you that made you feel energized or proud?
  4. What’s your chaos superpower?
    • When things get messy, what part of you clicks into gear?
  5. Are you drawn more to working solo, behind the scenes, in front of people, or curating experiences for others?
  6. What have you done or overcome that others think is hard, but you sort of shrug and go, “That’s just me”?
  7. What do you want your life to feel like day to day when this thing works?
    • This will help define the delivery model (ex: course, recurring subscription, ghostwriting, digital brand, etc.)
