This is what I would imagine JFK would say in current times…
My fellow citizens,
We live in a world that is becoming increasingly interconnected, yet at the same time, deeply divided. We face numerous challenges as a society, but none greater than the pervasive conflict and distrust between different groups.
But let us not despair. Let us remember that we are all bound together by our common humanity, and that the things that unite us are far greater than the things that divide us.
In this age of information and technology, it is more important than ever to find ways to increase our sense of shared identity and mutual interests. We must reach across the divides that separate us and find common ground where we can work together for the greater good.
This will require effort and sacrifice on the part of all of us. It will mean setting aside our differences and focusing on what we have in common. It will mean listening to each other with open hearts and minds, and being willing to compromise for the sake of progress.
But I have faith in the American people. I believe that we can rise above our differences and come together as one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Let us not be discouraged by the challenges we face, but instead let us be inspired by the possibilities that lie ahead.
Thank you, and God bless America.
