‪Our similarities are so much stronger than our differences‬

When we see each other’s humanity, everything will change.

The things we share are, the things that apply to and affect us all, are so compelling… so palpable… so undeniable… that they have the ability to change our world when we tap into them.

With these notions and the mindsets to seek and compassionately address them; we will be able to build stronger communities, relationships, and societies.

Finding our commonalities is so much more brave, strong, and intelligent than engaging in conflict over the areas where our lives, minds, or views DON’T intersect. Hate breeds hate. Negativity breeds negativity. Conflict breeds conflict.

…and those things bring on destruction. They weaken our minds, our spirits, the bonds we need to make futures that are better, synergized, peaceful, productive, more evolved…

I’m reminded of The Tale of Two Wolves:

A grandfather is talking with his grandson and he says there are two wolves inside of us which are always at war with each other.

One of them is a good wolf which represents things like kindness, bravery and love. The other is a bad wolf, which represents things like greed, hatred and fear.

The grandson stops and thinks about it for a second then he looks up at his grandfather and says, “Grandfather, which one wins?”

The grandfather quietly replies, the one you feed

Like with my principle of Concurrent Good, when we can find the things we have in common, we can work toward doing something transcendental with them, rather than being bogged down in the semantics and dogma of systems and processes that are merely the lower, subjective forms of larger, higher, guiding principles.

Because, if we were to reflect and ask ourselves who we are & what we are about, I doubt very seriously we’d return with bad, hateful, destructive, unfriendly, or unkind self-descriptions. Now is the time to, not even resist those negative forces, but to ACT in the ways that speak to our higher natures: to unite, to heal, to be forces for good, to listen and learn…

I’m gonna go listen to some Beatles songs and theorize…
