When did it become bad to be enthusiastic? Or to see the silver lining in an otherwise gloomy situation?
People really hate when someone has a purpose.
All of a sudden, we started to hate someone who is proud of their accomplishments.
Actually, I shouldn’t include myself in that category… If someone has a reason to be proud, or has dedicated themselves and given themselves to any useful task, I can respect that.
Whatever this mental illness is that causes people to turn their noses up at dedication is something that I cannot abide.
Why are we not more enthusiastic?
